Logo Design for Architects
Architectural Office Branding

James Michailidis, an architect based in Amsterdam, commissioned us to design his corporate identity for the architectural firm FORMA Studio. The goal was to convey the contemporary character of the brand through an identity that would exude purity, structure and harmony, concepts inextricably linked to architecture.

The collaboration

The logo was designed based on the letter F from the original FORMA name. The F is placed in the centre of a schematic frame created by lines that function symbolically, denoting boundaries, context, volume and architectural structure. As a floor plan or three-dimensional representation of space, the symbol alludes to concepts such as contours, design precision and spatial organization, key elements of architecture.

The aesthetic is minimalist, with an emphasis on clarity of line and harmony of composition. The choice of a neutral, cool colour palette of black, white and grey reinforces the sense of stability and professionalism, without distracting from the essence of identity.

The overall branding system includes business cards, letterheads, posters and applications on display materials. All applications were designed with the utmost respect for structure and grid, creating a visual language that communicates FORMA Studio’s seriousness, rhythm and precision.

The result is a timeless, flexible identity that combines the rigor of form with the symbolism of space, a logo that is not just a sign, but a design expression of architecture itself.
