Raven’s Cask is a drink label design project, aiming to create a strong, authentic and timeless visual identity for a premium single malt Whiskey. The study focuses on how design can communicate quality, tradition and emotional value, acting as a key element of the product’s identity.

The design direction draws inspiration from traditional European and American whiskey-making culture, where the label played a leading role—not only as an informational medium, but also as a mark of prestige, reliability, and heritage. For this reason, a rich, highly detailed composition was chosen, featuring bold typography, decorative elements, and classic engravings that reference labels from another era.
The Raven’s Cask logo was designed with an emphasis on solidity and seriousness, reinforcing the perception of a mature and trustworthy brand. The raven symbol acts as a narrative element, evoking mystery, strength, and wisdom—qualities closely aligned with the philosophy and character of the whiskey. The selected typefaces combine a vintage aesthetic with high legibility, lending a handcrafted and authentic feel to the final result.

The color palette is based on warm, earthy tones, with shades of brown, gold, and aged paper. These colors are directly associated with barrel wood, the passage of time, and the natural maturation process of whiskey production. The overall result conveys understated luxury and aesthetic balance, creating a label that stands out both on the shelf and within a bar setting or a tasting experience.
Raven’s Cask demonstrates how thoughtful spirits label design can build a strong brand story and convey a product’s value at first glance.
