Tidebreaker is a premium packaging concept for Caribbean rum, designed to capture the power of the sea, the feeling of exploration and the timeless aesthetics of nautical storytelling. The name “Tidebreaker” was chosen to reflect the intensity of crashing waves, as well as the strength of a brand that stands out within a demanding environment.
A central element of the label is the sea dragon, inspired by old maps and nautical legends. It symbolizes the unknown, strength and the challenge of exploration, enhancing the product’s storytelling and creating a strong, recognizable identity.
The visual direction is based on an engraving style, inspired by traditional printmaking techniques to convey authenticity and historical character. The artwork has been intentionally aged to reinforce the feeling of a product with depth, experience and timeless personality. The paper texture, distressed edges and subtle imperfections were used as deliberate design choices to add uniqueness and premium quality!
The typography follows classic serif lines, designed to convey prestige and reliability, while the information hierarchy was carefully structured to remain clean and instantly readable. The color palette, featuring deep greens and earthy tones, enhances the premium feeling and creates balance with the natural texture of the label material.
The final result represents a complete packaging design approach, focused on detail, consistency and the storytelling power of the brand.
