The THE BOOK AFFAIR<\/strong> is a contemporary book and ideas festival, designed to move away from the serious and often expected image of a traditional book exhibition. The name presents the relationship with books as a personal \u201caffair\u201d, while the phrase \u201cFestival of Books & Ideas\u201d expands the content beyond literature. The same logic is carried through to the design, which is bold, contemporary and full of movement.<\/span><\/p>\n

The central element of the identity is the geometric symbol of the logo. The repeated angles resemble open pages, successive books, as well as arrows pointing in the same direction. The style is based on large geometric forms, bold color blocks, asymmetrical layouts and typography that changes in size, position and direction. The photographs are not placed in the usual way, but are cropped, layered or connected with the shapes of the logo. This creates a contemporary editorial result with intensity, rhythm and a different visual outcome in every composition. Red, blue, light green and lilac create a strong yet balanced palette. Their combination makes the identity feel fresher and more approachable, without becoming childish or overly casual. Although the compositions vary significantly from one another, the logo, geometric shapes, typography and colors create a consistent shared visual code.
